Meet your host

Dan Amundson

I'm Dan Amundson, and I'll be running these sessions. My job is to keep it plain and practical: real tasks, real tools, and one thing you can try the next day. Questions before the event? Call or text me at 763-373-9272.

What you'll learn

Leave with one or two things you can try tomorrow.

AI basics, where things stand today, and how to set up your 2027 AI tech stack. No tech background needed. The same agenda runs at both sessions.

What's new this quarter

A quick, plain-English update on what changed in the AI tools you may already have.

What AI is and isn't

Where these tools save real time, where they get things wrong, and how to check their work. You're the editor; it's the intern.

How to ask

ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Google Gemini, basic versions. Tell it four things, then refine.

1Who you are
2What you need
3Who it's for
4Tone & length

Four live demos

Turn notes into a quote, answer a late-order email, build a staff schedule, and write a social post, all on screen with made-up examples.

Your 2027 AI tech stack

Five layers, from a reliable connection to security basics, plus a January plan: one task, one tool, a 30-day test.

Using it safely

What never to paste into an AI tool, and how to spot AI-made scams like voice-clone calls and fake invoices.

Who it's for

Buffalo-area business owners and managers

Owners, managers, and office staff who are curious about AI but short on time. Whether you've never opened ChatGPT or you use it every week, you'll pick up something useful.

  • Retail & shops
  • Restaurants & cafés
  • Trades & construction
  • Professional services
  • Health & wellness
  • Agriculture
  • Nonprofits
  • Home-based businesses

Two sessions, same content

Price lock through 2031

Business connection checkup

We'll test your current connection at your location, look at the cloud and AI tools you use, and give you a one-page result. No obligation. Ask at the event, or call or text Dan at 763-373-9272.

FAQ

Questions

Does it cost anything?

No. It's free, and food is provided. Please pre-register so we can plan food and seating.

Are the two sessions different?

No. The lunch-and-learn on Tuesday, December 1 and the breakfast on Thursday, December 3 cover the same agenda. Pick the one that fits your day.

I've never used AI. Is this too advanced?

Not at all. Session 1 starts from the beginning, in plain language. If you can write an email, you can use these tools.

Is this a sales pitch?

No. It's a practical session. There's a short segment on why your internet connection matters for cloud and AI tools, and the connection checkup is there if you want it.

Do I need to bring a laptop?

No. A phone is handy if you want to try things along the way, but everything is shown on the big screen.

What is "bring your problem"?

Tell us a real task when you register, like a quote, a policy, or a tricky customer email. We'll pick one or two to solve live (with names and private details removed).

Can I bring a coworker?

Yes. Enter the number attending on the form so we can plan. Seating is limited to 50 people per session.

Do I need to be a Buffalo Fiber customer?

No. Any local business is welcome, whoever your internet provider is.

How often does the series run?

It's a multi-part series, and this is Session 1. Dates for later sessions are still being set. Each builds on the last, but you can join at any point. Check the box on the form and we'll send you a short recap and the next date.
